1. Who we are
This policy explains how Ungating Expert (“we”, “us”) handles personal data collected through ungatingexpert.com. Ungating Expert is the data controller for that data. For anything about your data, write to early-signup@ungatingexpert.com or use the contact page.
2. What we collect
Details you give us
- Early-access form: full name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number (optional), your stage as an Amazon seller, your primary Amazon marketplace, anything you write about what you want help with (optional), and whether you asked for launch updates.
- Contact form: name, email address, topic, and your message.
Details collected automatically
- Server logs: like most websites, our server records your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, for security and troubleshooting.
- Essential cookies: a security cookie that protects our forms against forged submissions, and a session cookie that lets us show your confirmation page. We set no advertising or analytics cookies.
Please do not send us sensitive information such as Amazon passwords, payment card numbers or government ID through these forms.
3. How we use it, and our legal basis

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. It is seen only by our team and by service providers that process it for us:
- our website hosting provider, which stores the site’s database and server logs;
- our email provider, which delivers form notifications to our inbox and our emails to you;
- Bunny Fonts, which serves the typeface used on this site; your browser’s request for the font files reaches their servers.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to a successor if the business is reorganised or sold, in which case this policy continues to apply to your data.
5. International transfers
We and our service providers may process your data in countries other than the one you live in, including countries whose data protection laws differ from yours. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for those transfers.
6. How long we keep it
- Early-access details: for as long as the early-access programme runs and you remain on the list. We delete them when you ask us to.
- Contact messages: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and keep a reasonable record of it.
- Server logs: for a short period needed for security and troubleshooting.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- have inaccurate data corrected or completed;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it;
- receive your data in a portable format.
To use any of these rights, email early-signup@ungatingexpert.com. We will not treat you differently for doing so, and we may need to confirm your identity first.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
California
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. California residents may ask what personal information we have collected and ask for it to be corrected or deleted, using the contact details above.
India
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask for a summary of your data, its correction or erasure, withdraw consent, and nominate another person to exercise your rights. Send grievances to early-signup@ungatingexpert.com; if we do not resolve one, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
8. “Do Not Track” signals
This site does not track you across other websites, so it behaves the same whether or not your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal.
9. Security
We limit access to your data to people who need it and use reasonable technical measures, such as encrypted connections, to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
This site is for people running or starting a business. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the effective date above. If a change materially affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you by email.
